Christine Hinkley joined the Advisory Committee in 2021 and has been a huge supporter of The Dirt Road Project since its inception. Employed at Gray Metal Products in Avon, NY, Christine is no stranger to meeting deadlines and offering up great customer service to those the company serves with their commercial HV/AC products.
With a solid history as a donor to TDRP, Christine saw the opportunity to come aboard as an Advisory Committee member to support the Board of Directors. Her expertise in creating successful events and strong characteristics of compassion and wisdom will be a huge contribution to TDRP as it expands programs into new communities and continues to grow in the years to come. Christine shares, "I am thankful that I can be a builder of hope for such a great organization. An organization that has put strangers (who have now become family) needs ahead of all others. An organization that is giving hope to others for a better tomorrow, an organization built on selflessness, kindness to others and above all, love. I look forward to walking the TDRP path alongside founder and president, April Benson, for many years to come." "In a world where you can be anything, be kind." ~ Caroline Flack |

Ismael augustin
Ismael Augustin may be new to the TDRP Advisory Committee, but he is no stranger to all things Haiti. Born and raised in this Caribbean country, in the small rural community of Pignon, Ismael established himself as a leader. Following the completion of his studies at seminary college, Ismael oversaw leadership of his father's church as well as the discipleship of elders and deacons of the church. In addition, he was lead maestro of Etoile du Christ, a Christian band well-known in Haiti.
In 2018, Ismael accepted a position with TDRP which would find him leading PianoKids, an after-school arts program for students who were upstanding in their role as a citizen and excelled in their academic studies. Ismael was responsible for teaching these students to play the keyboard, learn musical theory, and read notes. In addition, Ismael led a community Bible study in the town of Hinche where 95 adult learners attended, and he assisted in the production of the 2019 community music festival, SoulFest, which was attended by more than 600 residents of Pignon and neighboring towns. In the Summer of 2021, Ismael arrived to the United States and married his lovely bride, Summer, on October 3, 2021. Ismael is eager to help TDRP in its next phase of growth and will play a vital role in facilitating project completion in the community of Berou where TDRP headquarters will be established. Ismael shares, "I want to serve on the Advisory Committee for TDRP because I am from Haiti. I have the skills to help TDRP to progress with their work in Haiti. I know the Haitian culture, customs and beliefs which will help guide TDRP. I appreciate the good work TDRP is doing in Haiti, which is so precious for the Haitian community because many people are in severe need for help." "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 |

Adam Visca
Adam is thrilled to have joined The Dirt Road Project in 2018. Adam learned the value of service in high school after volunteering with local youth as a football coach and at Gilda’s Club’s Noogieland. He ultimately decided to pursue service through healthcare and in college began work at a local hospital as a technician, where he worked on a team to provide patient- centered care on a surgical unit. It was here that Adam was introduced to TDRP by his coworker and friend, Summer Benson.
After graduating from SUNY Geneseo in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Biology, Adam moved back to Rochester where he accepted a position researching treatments for spinal cord injury at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Currently, Adam is a student at URMC. Adam is a dedicated volunteer who has offered his time and talents to TDRP. In his spare time, Adam spends time with his family and friends, reads about science and philosophy, and writes short stories. |
